This week I'll be painting this dramatic stormy scene for you, using watercolour and white gouache. Equipment list: I'm using Arches brand Rough grain watercolour paper, size 9" x 12" or 23cm x 31cm, weight 140lb / 300gsm. The colours I use are: Raw Sienna, Cobalt Blue, Ultramarine, Payne's Grey, Vandyke Brown, and White Gouache. The brushes I use today are: a Daler Rowney large Aquafine Skyflow flat 2 inch wash brush; two Escoda Ultimo synthetic mop brushes, sizes 10 and 14; a Princeton Neptune synthetic round brush size 4; and a Pro Arte Masterstrokes Series 60 miniature brush, size 4/0.
