In the dawn of this new day, I yearn for your presence to walk beside me and infuse my being with your divine light. Lord, I am grateful for this precious morning, for the chance to witness another day dawning, to marvel at the wonders of your creation, and to feel the embrace of your limitless love. Thank you for the blessings, both grand and small, that envelop me as I step into the journey of this day. Grant me, dear Father, your guidance and wisdom. Help me to discern the paths that honor you and serve others. Open my eyes to the opportunities to sow kindness, extend a helping hand, and radiate your grace into the lives of those around me. Forgive me, Father, for my shortcomings, for the moments of selfishness or indifference. May this day be a testament to my desire to walk in your ways, to love as you love, and to be a beacon of compassion in this world. Grant me a heart that swiftly seeks forgiveness and eagerly extends it to others. May your mercy wash over me, renewing my spirit and inspiring me to live a life that mirrors your love. As I step into the day's activities, grant me strength to face challenges and obstacles that may arise. Help me navigate through them with faith and resilience, knowing that you are my fortress and shield. Lord, I place this day into your hands. May your presence accompany me in every step, every word spoken, and every decision made. Guide my thoughts and actions to align with your will. Thank you, Father, for your constant presence in my life. You are my rock, my salvation, and my source of hope. As Psalm 25 verse 4 to 5 said: Show me your ways, Lord. Teach me your path. Guide me in your truth, for you are my God, my savior, and my hope all day long (Psalm 25:4-5). To you, Father, I give all praise, honor, and glory in Jesus' name. Amen. To truly ask the Lord to order our steps, we must recognize that many influences can guide us. Pride can lead us astray, as warned in Proverbs 16 verse 18: "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall." Similarly, lust can mislead us, as cautioned in 1 Peter 2 verse 11: "Keep away from worldly desires that rage war against your very souls." So, who or what is leading you? Is it pride, lust, money, or material things? The Bible, in Psalm 119 verse 133, implores, "Order my steps in Thy Word, and let not any iniquity have dominion over me." Dear friend, can you honestly say you walk with God? Do you start your day by calling out to the Lord, asking Him to guide you, take your hand, and lead your decisions and focus? Consider: Is God's Word a guiding light for your steps, shaping how you walk and who you follow? Remember, there's a battle between the flesh and the spirit. Let us be mindful of who directs our steps and strive to walk in alignment with God's will. In Galatians 5:16-17, it says, "Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want." The flesh is drawn to worldly love, self-centeredness, pride, sin, and unholiness. But to walk in the spirit means to be entirely devoted to Jesus Christ. As 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." I urge you to desire and submit to being led by God, guided by His Word and the Holy Spirit. Psalm 119:133-136 expresses this beautifully: "Direct my steps by your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me. Redeem me from the oppression of man, that I may keep your precepts. May your face shine upon your servant and teach me your statutes.
