The Lectionary for Mass assigns the response with psalm verses 146:6c-7, 8-9a, 9bc-10 to the Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time / B, the Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time / C and the Thirty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time / B. The same verses are assigned with different responses to Third Sunday of Advent / A ("Lord, come and save us" matched to the First Reading from Isaiah 35) and to Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time / A ("Blessed are the poor in spirit" matched to the Gospel Reading from Matthew 5:1-12a). It is also assigned to a number of weekday Masses throughout Ordinary Time. Psalm 146 features in the Liturgy of the Hours in Wednesday Morning Prayer in Week 4 of the 4- week cycle and in Evening Prayer I in the Common of Pastors, Common of Holy Men, and Sacred Heart. It also has a place in the Office for the Dead in Morning Prayer.
