Worship for the Fifth Sunday of Easter - May 2, 2021
This Sunday’s image of how the risen Christ shares his life with us is the image of the vine. Christ the vine and we the branches are alive in each other, in the mystery of mutual abiding described in the gospel and the first letter of John. Baptism makes us a part of Christ’s living and life-giving self and makes us alive with Christ’s life. As the vine brings food to the branches, Christ feeds us at his table. We are sent out to bear fruit for the life of the world. +If you ordered one and have not already done so, please pick up your May Spark Sunday School Kit. Kits will be available for pick-up in the gray bin outside of our front doors. +Confirmands, there is NO class tonight. +Adults, This Wednesday evening at 7pm we continue our study of the Book of Daniel, again, that can be either in-person here at the church or via Zoom. For both of these classes we will still be observing the same protocols we do on Sunday mornings. +If you are interested in reserving space in the community garden, please contact the church office, or sign up at church on the bulletin board. +Thank you for your generous support of Grand Blanc West Middle School with snacks! The teachers and students express their thanks—and yes, you can still bring snacks and place them in the yellow and black bin by the church door. As a reminder, they need to be individually wrapped, pre-packaged (no homemade snacks), non-perishable, and contain no nuts. +THANK YOU for your ongoing financial support of Holy Spirit's ministries.
