Homemade Creamed Corn Casserole - No Jiffy Mix
Hello and welcome to Old Ways Gardening and Prepping.🍀 Would like to welcome you each in to our kitchen this evening. So happy to be able to make this delicious homemade creamed corn casserole. There are many dishes that I make which is comfort food and this is one of them. From the delicious homemade creamed corn to the bacon and the cornbread this is a delicious side dish. It can be served year round and for the holidays. Below is the ingredients list for this delicious casserole. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Homemade Creamed Corn Casserole 1 lb. of bacon cooked, diced and some separate for the topping 1 onion, diced 1 TBsp of minced garlic 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 cups of cornmeal 3/4 cups of all purpose flour 1 TBsp of baking powder 1 tsp of salt 1 cup of sour cream 1 stick of butter, melted 3 eggs 3 cups of homemade creamed corn 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheese of choice Chopped chives or green onions after the cheese is done melting Bake in a 350* oven for 35-40 minutes till lightly browned. Then add bacon and the shredded cheese. Return to the oven till cheese is melted and golden brown. Hope you get a chance to make this delicious homemade creamed corn casserole.
