5 Things I Wish I Knew Before Starting My Fitness Journey 🏋🏾‍♀️💕 (Part 1)
What I Wish I Knew Pt. 1 🏋🏾‍♀️ 1. PROGRESS IS NOT LINEAR It’s so easy to get discouraged when progress isn’t immediate, but I wish I knew that progress isn’t always linear. There will be ups and downs, and that’s part of the journey. #trusttheprocess 2. BE COMFORTABLE WITH BEING UNCOMFORTABLE I used to avoid challenging or intimidating workouts because they made me uncomfortable. I wish I knew that growth happens the most in discomfort. Pushing through that mental barrier is when the real magic happens. 3. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING I wish I knew that you don’t need to do every trend or workout to get results. Find what works best for you, stay consistent with it, and trust your own routine. 4. DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS I wish I knew that comparing my fitness journey to others was only slowing me down. Everyone is on their own path, with different goals. Focus on YOUR progress, not someone else’s. 5. FOCUS ON FORM, NOT WEIGHT When I first started, I was obsessed with lifting heavy weights. I wish I knew that proper form is WAY more important than how much weight you’re lifting. Bad form can lead to injury and slow down progress.
