Silent Hill 2 Remake Gameplay Part 4

Title: Silent Hill 2 Remake | Part 4: Frustrating Puzzles, Rare Trophies & Terrifying Encounters | Full Gameplay Walkthrough Description: Welcome to Part 4 of my Silent Hill 2 Remake journey! This episode dives even deeper into the eerie corridors and unsettling secrets of Silent Hill's Wood Side Apartments. Over three hours of exploration, puzzle-solving, and tense encounters await as we push further into the dark mysteries this game has to offer. 🕹️ Key Moments in This Video: Exploring Wood Side Apartments The video kicks off with a thorough exploration of Wood Side Apartments. This place is massive, packed with locked doors, disturbing notes, and unsettling encounters around every corner. I comb through each room I can access, scanning for every item, coin, and clue I can find, while cautiously checking every shadow for… well, whatever Silent Hill decides to throw at me. There’s an eerie feeling that something—or someone—is watching. Rooms 209, 214, 215, 216, 203, 207, 313, 115, 114, 117, 102, 111, 110, 104, 105, and 101 are all locked tight. But rooms like 217, 203 (with the 3 upside down), 202, 210, 311, 116, 112, 109, 212, 106, and 107 are open for exploration. Each unlocked door could mean a new clue or a creature waiting to ambush. With Silent Hill’s signature atmosphere, even the quietest spaces feel menacing. Sinister Notes and Cryptic Messages Throughout my exploration, I find several notes scattered around the apartments. Each one feels like a glimpse into the twisted minds of those trapped here. From a warning about “gunshots” coming from apartment 217 to cryptic messages hinting at something pulsing beneath the surface, each note deepens the mystery and tension. One particularly disturbing note reads: "I was wrong, wrong, wrong… No, I wasn’t, but I wasn’t entirely right. I need to peel off more… something more blood-close." Trophy Achievements I’m also racking up the trophies in this episode, adding some solid accomplishments to our playthrough: Nice and Cozy: For unlocking Wood Side Apartments, this trophy may be common, but it marks another step forward in our journey. Let’s Not Party: A rare bronze trophy achieved by shooting every balloon in a creepy “Welcome Home” setup. Only 9.5% of players have this, so it’s definitely one to celebrate. Jazmo takes a moment to revel in this small victory, as she knows how few players have managed to snag this one. Blunt Force Trauma: Awarded for defeating 75 enemies with melee weapons. At 60.4% completion, it’s not super rare, but it’s a satisfying milestone that shows just how many creatures we’ve taken down up close and personal. The Infamous Coin Puzzle Here’s where things get really interesting—and frustrating. Early in the video, I stumble upon a strange machine with six slots for coins. My initial thought? I need to find six coins scattered around the apartments. Cue over an hour of meticulously searching every unlocked room, facing off against lurking enemies, and finding a grand total of three coins. Frustration builds as I scour every corner, only to come back to the machine and discover a hidden message: “Five slots be, but only three coins need.” That’s right—I only need three coins. Each one has an image: a man, a snake, and a woman. The machine’s riddle gives me clues about how to place them: "A woman under a tree… a man in pale moonlight… a flower away from the woman." After finally arranging the coins correctly, the machine throws yet another riddle at me, this time requiring me to flip the coins to specific images and adjust their order. It takes a good 20 minutes of trial and error, flipping coins, re-flipping, arranging, and rearranging until—finally—the machine unlocks, revealing a key to Room 201. Jazmo’s frustration echoes mine as she comments on the endless puzzles, trial-and-error solutions, and the overall pain of this ordeal. The satisfaction of finally solving it is tempered by the time and patience it consumed. First Death and Creepy Encounters Silent Hill is never short on unsettling encounters, and this episode is no exception. At one point, while cautiously exploring a dark hallway, I’m ambushed by a twisted creature. Despite my best efforts, I end up facing my first in-game death. The chilling “You Died” screen serves as a reminder that Silent Hill isn’t here to make things easy. It’s a harsh world, and survival is anything but guaranteed. After respawning, I manage to finish off the creature and continue my exploration, but not without Jazmo’s slightly sarcastic commentary on the whole ordeal. A Tense Ending and the Key to Room 201 The episode wraps up with the discovery of the key to Room 201. After everything I went through to solve the coin puzzle, the key feels like a well-earned reward.
