It was released on the 9th November 2022 for PS4 and PS5. It is the ninth installement in the series and the sequel to 2018's God of War. The game is set in Norse mythology and follows Kratos (Christoper Judge) and his son Atreus (Sunny Suljic) following the games previous events where Kratos killed the Aesir god Baldur, starting a series of events that lead to Ragnarok. The gameplay features combo based combat, puzzle and role-playing elements. The game has received universal acclaim from critics and praised extensively for storytelling, characters, visuals and level design.
