In a Broken Dream
This video was originally recorded for the Facebook Music Lockdown Challenge. The topic for this week was "songs released in 1972". For this week I chose "In a Broken Dream," which was a one hit wonder for the Australian band Python Lee Jackson. The original song used a session singer for the vocals, a yet to become famous Rod Stewart. For a session fee, Stewart was given new seat covers for his car and was uncredited on the cover. The song flopped. However, a few years later, Rod Stewart had become rather famous, so the song was re-released for the UK in 1972 and this time reached No.3 in October of that year.
