Making An Apothecary Cabinet

Making An Apothecary Cabinet

In this video I repurpose an old antique stand I had laying around into an apothecary cabinet. The place I kept my herbs and tinctures was getting too full. This cabinet gives me two shelves; one for jars of dried herbs, and the other for tinctures being made. The antique stand is made from red cedar and has slots in the sides. I covered up the slots with aluminum window screen and then made two doors out of oak panel. After bees waxing the doors to darken them, I make handles out of buckskin lace and buffalo horn hair pipe beads. Attach a few hinges so it's done and now I can have more space in the kitchen cabinet I used for herbs.
