Songkran festival in Bangkok, Thailand

Songkran festival also called as water festival and it is Thai new year. Every year celebration starts from 13-15 April. And it last long to one week also. People throw water on each other, it fun. April is the hottest month of year in Thailand so taking splash of cold water is relief from heat. On this festival younger takes blessing from elders. Silom road is about 5 km long and closed for this festival for vehicles. You can go to BTS Sala Daeng to celebrate this festival. Bus no 15, 25, 76, 77, 115, 163, 164, 172, 177, 504 , 514, 544, 547 goes here.
