Preparation time: 40 minutes Standby time: 85 minutes Cooking time: 15 minutes Serves: makes around 8 rolls Ingredients: Dough: 1. All purpose flour 1 cup 2. Whole-wheat flour 1/2 cup 3. Sugar 1/4 cup 4. Dry yeast 2 tsp 5. Salt 1/2 tsp 6. Warm milk 1/2 cup 7. Olive oil 3 tbsp 8. Egg 1 nos. 9. Additional all purpose flour 1/4 cup Cinnamon filling: 10. Brown sugar 1/4 cup 11. Cinnamon powder 2 tsp 12. Butter 2 tbsp Frosting: 13. Icing sugar/Powdered sugar 1/2 cup 14. Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp 15. Milk 1 tbsp Method: • In a bowl, add all purpose flour, whole-wheat flour, sugar, dry yeast, salt and whisk the dry ingredients together. • Next, add the warm milk, olive oil and egg and blend these together until it forms a sticky dough. • Then, add additional all purpose flour and blend again. Now, the dough will get little thicker. • Next, dust some flour on the surface and knead the dough for around 8-10 minutes. • After that cover the dough and keep it aside for 10 minutes (preferably warm place). • Meanwhile, grease the mould and prepare the cinnamon filling by mixing brown sugar and cinnamon powder together. • After 10 minutes, roll the dough using a rolling pin into a thick sheet. • Apply butter on the dough sheet and then spread the cinnamon filling using a spatula. Spread it evenly. • Gently start rolling the dough from one end and seal it by applying little milk/water on the opposite edge. • Now, cut the extra sides and remove it. Then, cut equal portions of the rolled dough using a serrated knife. • Place the rolls in the greased mould with a little space between them. • Cover the mould with a cling wrap and keep the mould in a warm place for about 1 hour or until the rolls rises. • Pre-heat the oven at 175’C for 10 minutes. • Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes at 175’C. • Meanwhile, prepare the frosting by combining sugar, vanilla essence and milk in a bowl and mix it until it has a flowing consistency. • Once the rolls are cooled for around 15 minutes, spread the frosting and serve. Suggestions: • I prefer keeping dough at rest in a slightly warm oven. • At the time of serving, heat the cinnamon roll for 30 seconds in microwave or 10 minutes in oven at 175’C and serve with coffee. Also, these can be served cold. • Preserve the baked cinnamon rolls in an airtight container and keep it refrigerated. #cinnamonrolls #sugarglaze #breakfastrecipes #bakenetic Enjoy and stay connected with us! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow us on: Facebook: https://bit.ly/3cxKIfe Instagram: https://bit.ly/2A7E3Lx Click to subscribe: https://bit.ly/2Yd7T9E
