⭐ Ingredients 4 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced 2 cups heavy cream 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1 small onion, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 4 tablespoons unsalted butter 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional) Fresh parsley for garnish (optional) ⭐ Instructions Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onion is translucent. Stir in the heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a buttered baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes. Sprinkle with half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Repeat with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and top with the remaining cheese. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is golden and bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
