Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me, you can do nothing” -- John 15:5 Pastor - Rev. Ramon Valera Pastor Emeritus - Rev. Ramon Valera Please take note of the following upcoming events in our parish: 9am Live stream Mass EVERY Sunday 10:30am Drive in Mass. Please arrive 30 minutes early. Baptisms are being celebrated in the Pavilion. Please call the Parish Office to schedule the Baptism of your child. Dear Parishioners and Friends: I hope that you are all doing well. I am delighted to inform you that very soon we will open our Church for the celebration of the sacraments. Re-opening comes with it ensuring the safety of all entering Church. Therefore, I am appealing to you all, that there is an urgent need for more volunteers from among you. Anyone, 17 years of age and above, who are healthy and have no pre-existing health conditions may volunteer. Please call our parish office at (818) 363-2535 to sign up Mondays to Wednesdays. I also challenge the young adults of our community to come forward at this time when your parish needs you. The ministry of volunteers is crucial in enforcing important steps to ensure the safety of all who attend our Church for worship and prayer. When you come back to church, protocols for safety and health are still enforced such as the use of masks at all times, hand sanitizing, and observance of social distancing of six feet inside the Church. I also want to make clear that anyone who is sick cannot be admitted into the church. Archbishop Jose Gomez continues to grant his dispensation from Sunday Mass obligation to those who prefer to stay home and watch the 9:00am Livestream Mass on Sundays. Since attendance to the five weekend masses will still be limited, we require parishioners to call the Parish Office to make reservations to attend any of the 5 weekend Masses: Saturday, 5pm and Sundays: 7am, 9am, 11am and 1pm. It also necessary that those attending mass to arrive at least 20 minutes before the mass starts, so that there is ample time to do the routine check before entering the Church. The Church doors will be closed as soon as Mass Begins. Please note that the Sunday 9am Mass will continue to be Livestreamed, but the Outdoor Drive-in Mass will then be discontinued once Masses will be celebrated inside the Church. Watch out for any further announcement on our Parish Website (www.sjbdls.com), the parish bulletin or on our Livestream Mass (tinyurl.com/SJBDLSMass). I ask for your prudent patience and continued prayers. I am deeply grateful for your constant support and donations to St. John Baptist de la Salle Parish and thank you for availing of our online giving. We continue to pray for you that God keeps you safe and healthy. We also pray for the handicapped, the sick, the home bound and those experiencing difficulties at this time of emergency: may our loving God heal you with his loving embrace. Blessings from Fr. Ramon Valera and All the Priests of our Parish. Fr. Ramon Valera, Pastor St. John Baptist de la Salle Parish Granada Hills, California On Line Giving: www.osvhub.com/sjbdlsfunds
