Finding Light in Darkness - A Biblical Message of Hope #shorts

You ever had something happen to you that seemed horrible at the time, yet later saw the positive result it produced? That’s what this spite is about. It is from Genesis in the Bible. Joseph, who was a favored son of Jacob, had 11 bros. His brothers were jealous of him because their dad favored Joseph. His bros sold him into slavery and deceived their father into thinking he was dead. While Joseph was In prison, he interpreted dreams for the king of Egypt’s cupbearer and baker, correctly predicting their fates. When the king Pharaoh had troubling dreams, the cupbearer told him of Joseph, and he interpreted the king's dreams as a warning of seven years of abundance followed by seven years of famine. It came true, and King Pharaoh made him second-in-command to manage Egypt’s food supply, saving the nation. During the famine, Joseph’s brothers came to Egypt for food, unaware of his identity. When his brothers became aware of who he was, they wept at his feet out of fear for their lives. Joseph forgave his brothers, telling them, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.” He provided for all his family, ensuring their survival. I love this story because it shows how thick blood runs when it comes to family. I mean what a bad ass, his brother‘s literally turned on him and there they were weeping at his feet and he forgave all of them. He knew that had his brothers not sold him into slavery, he wouldn’t have been second in command and wouldn’t have saved the nation from famine. This goes to show the importance that everything that is happening to us is actually happening for us if we shift our perspective and take our mindset out of victim (we’ve all been there) to one of opportunity. Everything we go through is molding us into who we are destined to be. Have faith, stay positive, and turn every obstacle into an opportunity. #faith #purpose #verseoftheday #faithhabits #faithjourney #quotes
