(Psalm 145:18 KJV EXPLANATION: Blessed be the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. "The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth." (Psalm 145:18) Today, we will meditate on the promised Word. How comforting! God is not far from you. He stands near you when you call on his name in faith. When your heart is overwhelmed, when your tears are shed, when your strength is gone, the LORD hears your cry. In your pain, in your songs, when you think there is no one to listen to you. When you feel that you can let go, the Lord says, "I am close to you." He is not a God who is far away, but a loving Father who never leaves you, but holds you close. A mother, even if her children cry or whine a little, she will drop everything and run away. A mother can't stand when her child cries. The mother forgets everything and goes in search of the child. God has so much love for us. He's running when you call out to him. He won't be late. He draws near, he comforts, he answers, he gives peace. Many pray only if they have a problem and the door seems to be locked. But God invites us to live in a deeper relationship with him, not only in danger, but also in daily calling out to him in truth and encouragement. This is the journey of true faith. "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you." (James 4:8) If your heart is true, if your spirit thirsts for him, he will draw nearer than ever. Beloved, if you cling to God continually, he is your strength. Daniel prayed three times a day, not only when he was afflicted. Because he loved the Lord deeply, he sought Him. The presence of God surrounded him in the lions' den. This is the secret of those who are close to God. They enjoy His presence, His answers, and His kindness every day. He wants to draw close to his children, who call out to him in truth. The Lord wants to be close to you today. You're not alone. Although you do not see him, he is near you, ready to answer you and to bless you more than you can imagine. But many of us think, "The Lord knows all my needs; he knows my heart; why should I ask him this alone?" But I want to tell you one thing. He is our father. He knows our needs and wants. But when we cry out to him, he has compassion on us. Many years ago, there was a president. One day he was walking down the main street of a big city. Thousands of people were walking there. They beat him up. "Long live our president." And there was a little girl. She called out to the President, "You must come to our house." Security forces were not allowed. But he said to them, "I cannot ignore this little girl's desire," and said to her, "Child, will you take me to your house?" He went to the boy's house. He kissed her and returned. Beloved ones, if a President does not turn aside the call of a little girl, but fulfills her desire, how will your Father in heaven leave you? When you call out to him, how can he ignore you? He'll never do that. The Lord who created you is good. Talk to him today. Let him pour out the desires of his heart into the community. He will hear you and save you from all your troubles. PRAYER: Dear Father! Thank you for being so close to me. Thank you for listening to my cries and cries. You are the good Lord who hears my prayers, and you are not far away. You're so close to me. You're in me. You know the desires of my heart. Bless them. Bring joy to my life. Give me a heart that thirsts for you every day. Love will help you find yourself, not just during the tribulation. Lord, take hold of me, and never leave me. Your presence fills my home and my heart. Before I could answer, I prayed. Do miracles in my life, for I trust in you.
