Here’s the Latest Look at the 2025 Tesla Model Y

Here’s the Latest Look at the 2025 Tesla Model Y Tesla’s most popular SUV has received a styling makeover for 2025 that aligns it with its platform-mate, the Model 3 sedan, which was updated for the 2024 model year. The Model Y’s headlamps have been changed and are now connected by a full-width light bar along the front end. The 2025 Model Y also has received interior updates similar to those on the Model 3, including richer interior materials, more sound-deadening, available ventilated front seats, and a rear-seat passenger display, among other upgrades. North American specs and pricing have not been announced yet, but when we learn more about the updated Model Y, we’ll update this story with details. Expect to see the refreshed Model Y go on sale sometime in the spring of 2025. While Tesla hasn't released horsepower specs for the updated MOdel Y yet, we know that the loaded Launch Edition model—which will be the only one you can buy at first—comes with a dual-motor powertrain with all-wheel drive. We suspect this is the same dual-motor powertrain that comes on the Model 3 sedan. That car also features a single-motor rear-wheel drive setup as well as a Performance trim with extra power, both of which could easily migrate to the Model Y's lineup as well. The Launch Edition is the first 2025 Model Y to hit the market and it's capable of up to 320 miles of driving per charge on the standard 19-inch wheels. Upgrade to the larger 20-inch rollers and the range estimate drops to 303 miles. We suspect Tesla will soon launch lower-cost trims of the SUV, including a single-motor rear-wheel drive model with slightly more range. When we learn more, we'll update this story with details.
