Freshly Homemade Pizza Sauce πŸ… Ingredients: Bombay/Hybrid Tomato: 1/2 kg Olive Oil: 2 tbsp Onion: 1 medium Garlic: 2 tbsp Salt, Pepper (as per taste) Kashmiri Chilli Powder: 1 tsp (Optional) Oregano: 1 tsp Sugar: 1/2 tsp Vinegar: 1/2 tsp Recipe: 1. Make slits on the top and bottom of the tomatoes. Submerge in boiling water for 2 minutes. You will see that the skin has started to rip open. Take them out and immediately transfer to ice cold water. This process is called blanching. 2. Remove the skin and eye of the tomatoes and start mushing them with your hands. 3. Take a saucepot, add olive oil, onion and salt. Once translucent, add garlic. Saute. 4. Add the mushed tomatoes and cook for 12-15 mins on the lowest flame. Add salt, pepper, kashmiri chilli powder (optional) and basil leaves. 5. When cooking is done, add oregano, sugar and vinegar. Mix well. Your pizza sauce is ready. You can easily store it for a week. Use it for pizza, pasta or sandwiches. Enjoy!
