If you know me, you know I’m a lover of snow globes!! Tiny little items inside their own little universe, I mean, what’s not to love 😭?! This stamp is a Strictly Rita original, and YOU get to decide what goes inside the snow globe 🤗!! Take a trip down memory lane with me to the 70’s. I was a young girl. My grandma had retired from teaching school and was living her best life. She went on a trip by herself to New York. I really admired her for being such a strong independent woman 💪🏼!! Guess what she brought me home from her trip?! You guessed it!! A snow globe of New York City 🌃!! Fast forward to 5 years ago. For Christmas, my daughter gifted me a trip to the Big Apple for Christmas!! I’d never been!! While visiting Rockefeller Plaza, I took this picture. So I knew what my first snow globe scene would be with our new stamp: New York, New York, the town so nice, they named it twice 🙌🏼 My only regret is that the picture isn’t super clear. I could have found a better picture online, but it just wouldn’t hold the same meaning as this one does 🥹 I printed the pic on vellum paper, because I wanted you to kind of see through it to the background wax, as you would with a real snow globe. Also: the first seal I made (not shown here) I used our Vellum wax. It worked, but it was just a little 🤏🏼 too blurry. I mean the Vellum definitely pairs well with this stamp, just not for this particular project. I ended up using our clear wax for the win 🙌🏼!! Next up with this stamp: crystal ball 🔮🤩!!
