Nutella Chocolate Brownies

Nutella Chocolate Brownies

Who made the first brownie? Was it made with chocolate? What is the original recipe? I share with you my original 19th century copy of the Boston Cooking School Cookbook which contains one of the earliest recipes for Brownie. Plus my recipe for fudgy cocoa brownies with Nutella which you will find below. Fudgy Nutella Chocolate Brownies Ingredients for 12 by 8 sheet pan 75 grams unsalted butter 1/3 cup Dutch cocoa 1 tsp vanilla extract 3/4 cup flour 2 eggs beaten 250 grams Nutella spread 50 grams brown sugar 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional) Method Preheat oven to 375 F and prepare bottom rung. Brush pan lightly with vegetable oil.Line your brownie pan with parchment paper. Melt butter on a low flame. Then stir in and brown sugar and cook 1-2 minutes on a low flame. Switch off the flame . Add vanilla, cocoa, Nutella spread and mix until smooth. Add whisked eggs in two batches and whisk until smooth. Now add a 1/4 cup flour and mix until just incorporated. Do not over mix. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour the batter into pan and smoothen the top with your spatula and bake 20 minutes until a thin crust forms. Remove and let cool completely before you slice it.
