I gave the team the last present for the season! Thank you for being on Team Korea!

Hello, this is Yoongy, your sports teller and Short Track researcher. A total of 16 members (8:Men 8:Women) make the National Team per season. They all train at Jincheon National Training Center. The top 5 skaters with the highest National Team Selection score can join the Olympics. The 6th can join the World Cup Series. The 7th and 8th skaters are reserves. Should there be unexpected circumstances in which the skater cannot compete in the game(i.e. injury), the skater who received the next highest score will compete on behalf. The 2021-22 season was particularly challenging. As for me, it's been a while since I trained in Jincheon. I had to adapt to a new environment. And for the team, we had to get through the season without a head coach. That was challenging not only physically but emotionally as well. That is why I decided to give a present to the team. The idea hit me during the Olympics. I want to thank the team from the bottom of my heart for their hard work and support. I wish I can see them next season!
