From the First Letter of Saint John the Apostle (1 John 3:1-3) Beloved, See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are! For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and it has not yet been revealed what we will be. We know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
