Stay With Us

Hello, I am Jeff Andresen, President and CEO of the YMCA of Greater Williamson County. For 40 years, the YMCA of Greater Williamson County has concentrated on developing youth, promoting healthy living and being socially responsible. Up until about a week and a half ago you may have thought of the Y as the place where you work out, swim, take your kid to gymnastics or pick up your child after work. We have always been more than that. Each year our YMCA gives over 30,000 scholarships to people in our communities that have a need and want to participate in our programs. The YMCA that you are used to, opens its door every morning and welcomes you and your loved ones to attend. Unfortunately, our doors are not open… you are family and we miss you. As soon as this shutdown is over and it is safe for us to open our doors, we want our family back. Meanwhile, during this difficult time, we are happy to be able to focus more of our efforts on social responsibility and helping our neighbors who are helping all of us. Just today we started providing all-day childcare to County First Responders and health care providers. We anticipate serving our area municipal workers who have children and need care while they make sure our infrastructure needs are met. I am asking you to “stay with us.” Your commitment to continue your membership is critical to our YMCA family. Your membership can help us help others. Many of our members have asked us to donate their membership dues to help us in our efforts and we thank you. Some have asked us to place their bank drafts on a short hold and if you need a credit, we will do that too. When we work together, we are stronger and when we stay together our communities are stronger. Stay with us as we support our communities now and strengthen them in the weeks ahead. #StayWithUs
