Call of Duty Black Ops Multiplayer Teaser Analysis (HD)
--------READ DESCRIPTION-&-SUBSCRIBE!------ What we can tell so far: *Predator Car is a new killstreak, it allows you to take control of a miniature car and drive it around, it explodes on contact with other players, likely to have a timer on it until it explodes by itself. EDIT: In the video the driver of the car doesn't touch any walls, my guess is that if you drive into a wall with the car it will explode on impact. *Replaying. At the end of the trailer you can see there is a video editing interface, very much like that of Halo 3. It allows the player to zoom in on certain spots and allows them to get that exact vantage point that they desire. *Thermal cameras. The first clip in the trailer shows in the top left corner a white blob (a person) which you later find in a room located infront of a camera which had been placed there, I expect this is going to be equipment for a player to use. EDIT: It also seems that by using the camera you can't use your minimap. *Crossbows. We saw it in a previous trailer, but this confirms it is in multiplayer. *Ballistic knives. They seem to be the black ops version of a throwing knife, but it's an attachment which goes onto the end of your knife instead and you carry around more than one, looks quite interesting. *Awards. In black ops you will continue to see the rewards you get ingame such as buzzkill and longshot, but in Black Ops there are new ones to be had such as skewer. *Remote control rocket. On the sniper clip we see the sniper is shot down by a rocket, this rocket looks very much controlled as it hit the target directly in the forehead. This may just be a normal rocket, we'll have to wait and see. EDIT. On closer inspection the controllable rocket is the replacement for the predator missile, the player can control it and fly it around the map instead of flying down onto the map. *Care package. It's back! *No noob tubes and claymores as of yet, looking good! *Old weapons return. The MP5K and Famas/M16A1 (which is now automatic) are both seen in this video so it's safe to say we will be seeing them when Black Ops is launched. EDIT: Also have noticed the Steyr AUG in there, which was also seen in an earlier trailer, this time it may be classed as an Assault Rifle (?) as it should be, the one seen in this trailer is most likely to be the Steyr AUG A1 (thanks CodeyOxley) New weapon, the AWP from CS:S? Hope so, 1 hit kill please! *Maps which are alive. A map located halfway through the video features a rocket launching off, this could perhaps hint at a game mode with time trials, say, capture the rocket site and prevent launch or gain control of the rocket for 5 mins and then launch etc, you get the idea. *Attachments. They are returning (would be stupid not to) so far have seen the silencer, red dot and holographics sights. *Dogtags. Introduced in MW2 it seems they have continued using them in Black Ops, they are a bit smaller now but now contain an emblem, a callsign, the name of the player and their rank/prestige. Overall they look more tidy and much better looking. *Helicopters. The care package helicopter is now much larger (double bladed helicopter, much larger than the ones seen in MW2) and the attack helicopter are seen in the video. *Diving. At 0:40 you can see to the right of the screen a player diving to the ground in order to defend himself quickly. Perhaps this is achieved by running, jumping and whilst jumping attempting to go prone. Would be a nice addition to the game as it has not been seen before. *No more red jelly! When you get damaged your screen will flash red, and as you are losing more health your character begins to breath heavily and the screen flashes slightly. *The maps are amazing. Just a quick look at these few maps shows they are very well thought out. To a rocket bay, to a control room to up the top of a wall sniping in a warehouse, the maps look excellent and will provide an excellent gaming environment. *Bling is back! Thanks for the comments on this! *Camos make a return. Hopefully in Black Ops we will be able to see new customisable camos, black and pink, perhaps? :) EDIT: Also on the first scene, the players weapon has a smiley face on the hilt, this could hint to customising the guns very much like Blacklight: Tango Down. *Airstrikes are still around, no hovering harriers though, but an attack helicopter has been seen. *No sleight of hand? The sniper's scope was fairly slow, but that may just be the fact that the player isn't using sleight of hand, or was it removed? We will have to wait and see. *2 map names. First map is Launch, the snowy map where you can see ballistic throwing knives is Summit. 1:07 - 1:12 minimap shows a pulsing beacon-like UAV. Looks interesting.
