HPV and Cancer High-risk HPV strains are the primary cause of cervical cancer and other anogenital cancers. They are also responsible for a significant percentage of head and neck cancers. EBV and Lymphomas Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is associated with several cancers, including Hodgkin lymphoma, Burkitt lymphoma, and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
