Squid Game: Thanos actor is real-life rapper & went to jail In Squid Game season 2, Thanos is played by none other than T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun), who is a former member and rapper of the iconic K-pop boy band BIGBANG. In 2017 he was handed a 10-month suspended prison sentence with two years probation for smoking marijuana several times.
