Chicken Pot Pie - Easy and Delicious Comfort Food #potpie #chickenpotpie #chickenrecipe #comfortfood Today, I've got a treat for you: a classic comfort food near and dear to my heart – Chicken Pot Pie, an easy and delicious ultimate comfort food. It's the ultimate comfort dish that I can enjoy any time of the year. And guess what? We're making it quick and easy so you can savor this delightful meal without spending hours in the kitchen. This is the channel where we not only love to cook, but we cook to love, and today, we're doing just that with this hearty recipe cooked in a cast iron skillet. So, let's get started, 1: Gathering Ingredients Alright, discuss the ingredients you'll need for our delicious Chicken Pot Pie. First, we've got some Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuits that we've pre-cooked in a cast iron skillet, about ninety percent done. Then, we'll need two cans of canned cream of chicken or cream of celery soup. Of course, you can make your own from scratch if you're feeling adventurous (check out our video). Next, we need a whole chicken, and a rotisserie chicken works beautifully here. Just debone and shred it. Lastly, grab a 24-ounce can of mixed vegetables (drained) or one bag of frozen mixed veggies. • 2 cans of cream, either chicken or celery. You can even make your own; check out one of my previous videos. • 1 whole cooked chicken. Rotisserie chicken works wonders here. Just debone and shred it. • A 24-ounce can of mixed vegetables or a bag of frozen ones. • And for that extra depth in flavor, some celery and onion. 2: Mixing It Up. Now, let's combine all these fantastic ingredients in a large mixing bowl and give them a good mix. For an extra flavor kick, I like to sauté some chopped celery and onion in butter until they're tender. Those go right into the mix as well. 3: Building the Piet: Time to assemble our Chicken Pot Pie masterpiece! Remember those biscuits we pre-cooked in the skillet? Well, take them out and cut them in half horizontally. Now, line the bottom of the cast iron skillet with half of those delicious biscuits. Pour our mixture right on top of them. Then, place the remaining biscuits on top of the mix. 4: Baking to Perfection] Host: We're almost there, folks! Cover the skillet and biscuits with aluminum foil and pop it back into a 350-degree Fahrenheit oven. Let it bake for around 25 minutes. Now, keep an eye on it and make sure those biscuits aren't getting too brown. If they are, pop a small sheet pan or pot lid on top. Continue baking for 15 minutes until you see that beautiful bubbling goodness in the center. 5: The Finishing Touch: Our Chicken Pot Pie is out of the oven and looks incredible! But hold on just a bit – let it cool for about ten minutes before serving. This will ensure that the flavors meld together perfectly. And there you have it, folks – a quick and easy Chicken Pot Pie bursting with flavor. I hope you enjoyed this recipe as much as I do.
