Quick to Listen ~ Slow to Speak

During this video I am sharing how I interact with people and how helpful it is to first listen and then speak to them with wisdom and kindness. Here is an example when I was not slow to become angry: When I was angry with my son, I wanted to give him a "piece of my mind." During this time, he was a teenager and very hurt. My heavenly Father stopped me and I knew this was not the time to angrily scold my son. Instead I spoke to my son words of encouraging, I was simply spoke the words I heard from my Father. Isn't that beautiful? 19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. James 1:19-20 A gentle response defuses anger, but a sharp tongue kindles a temper-fire. Proverbs 15:1 MSG
