Andrew Beaumont explains the WHO's new strategic priorities
Andrew Beaumont, one of the author's of Jacaranda Key Concepts in VCE Health and Human Development, walks through the new strategic priorities from the World Health Organisation (WHO). In 2018, the WHO released 3 new strategic priorities, these include: achieving universal health coverage, addressing health emergencies and promoting healthier populations. To achieve these priorities, the WHO will be directing their attention to increasing access and quality to health care services, ensuring there are sufficient health care workers available, better access to medicines, developing health policies, monitoring health risks, increasing global awareness, and supporting countries to implement primary health care.
