NINETEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST October 8, 2023
NINETEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST October 8, 2023 AS WE GATHER God mightily delivered Israel to the Promised Land, but the Israelites were also indicted for their profound rebellion. Resolute confidence as God’s elect is laid to waste in the wake of overwhelming sin. Paul’s confidence was not in his genealogy but rather grounded in his resolute faith in Christ, through whom we receive every bit of righteousness and grace. Jesus is God’s own Son, sent amid conspirators and murderers to face death that we may inherit life. St. Paul Lutheran Church A Member Congregation of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod We greet and welcome all guests and visitors worshiping with us today. We hope that the message you hear today will strengthen your understanding and faith in God’s plan to save us from sin and death through Jesus Christ.
