Endowment Story: Dr. Jeffrey Lipton

Thanks to a generous endowed gift from Frances and Thomas Gambino, Dr. Jeffrey Lipton holds the title of the Frances and Thomas Gambino Professor in Hematology/Oncology and can expand his research on Diamond Blackfan Anemia, a rare genetic disorder that affects the red blood cells and serves as a predisposition to cancer. Endowment gifts guarantee future funding and allows Northwell to recruit and support physicians, researchers and academic professors who help us advance medical research and further improve the health of our entire community.
