#food #budgetfriendly #homemadefood #foodbank #homemade #cooking #communitypantry On this day I wanted to get things done, preserved and meals on the table. I made two Hawaiian Pork Chops and Chicken vegetable soup along with freezing the bananas I received from a previous food bank haul. I was tired at the end of the day! Hawaiian Pork Chops Recipe: 2 lbs porkchops 1 can pineapple chunks 1/2 cup chopped onions 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/3 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup ketchup 3 tbs lemon juice 2 tbs minced garlic 1/2 cup water 2 tbs corn starch 1tsp salt 1 tsp pepper Place all but the corn starch in the crockpot. Cook on high for 3-4 hour or low for 6-8 hours. Open crockpot up flip to high and mix corn starch with 1/4 cup water. Slowly add into the crock pot and stir as you pour it in. Simmer for 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Serve over white rice. Chicken Soup Recipe 4-5 pieces of chicken legs and thighs 4-5 medium to small potatoes cut into chunks 3 large carrots cut into chunks 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers 1/2 cup chopped onions 4 small ears of corn 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 2 tbs garlic lemons or limes Place everything into the pot and add water to desired amount.
