Lurtz is moving towards the ancient fortress and keep of Helms Deep but must move through the Rohirrum mustering grounds of Dunharrow to reach after destroying Edoras. The horse lords have been caught out in Dunharrow having only just escaped Edoras they hadn't moved the rearguard out to Helms Deep before the Uruk'hia's approach.
