In this video, I’ll share what they miss and 5 steps to restoring a healthy, happy gut and how to upgrade overall digestive health. When it comes to dealing with chronic gut issues, the conventional approach usually falls short. Taking meds or doing an endoscopy or colonoscopy don’t tell the whole story and can leave people like YOU dealing with chronic tummy troubles for years on end… with no solution in sight! This is why a root-cause approach to re-establishing a healthy gut is so important. The conventional approach often misses things like pathogens, yeast overgrowth, low stomach acid, and conditions like SIBO and Leaky gut. When it comes to healing your gut, not only do we need to consider the bacteria population in your gut but we also need to consider other factors that could be disturbing your ability to digest food properly without troublesome symptoms. This is why we follow a special 5 step protocol to weed out the offenders, deal with food sensitivities and inflammatory foods and then reseed your gut to restore healthy balance and function. There are 5 steps (The 5 R’s) I investigate when you see me: 1- Remove: involves food intolerances, infections, toxins, stress factors 2- Replace: What the body needs like digestive enzymes, hydrochloric acids, bile salts, fiber 3- Re-inoculate: Your gut bacteria need to be in abundant quantity and diversity, so probiotics and prebiotics are necessary for a healthy gut 4- Repair: Gut problems cause damage to your system. We repair the gut with proper, whole foods, appropriate nutrients like vitamins, minerals, anti-inflammatory nutrients. 5- Re-Balance: That means rebalancing your life, decreasing stress with mindful eating and relaxation and other important DE stressors like meditation, yoga, and deep breathing. I follow these steps in this order because it is logical and can really upgrade your health in other ways, not just with GI symptoms. You see there are no medications involved most of the time.
