Has anyone done dyeing with garden balsam this way?

This was on my bucket list for 2023. In the beginning of this year, I started an ambitious project. I bought some balsam seeds at a dollar store, planted them. But the project quickly went out of my control. It's been such a long time since I grew a plant. I think the last time I grew a plant was when I was in elementary school. Sadly, the plant withered, betraying my expectation. But it was still a meaningful experience! I tried something and failed! So I bought a balsam kit instead, and dyed my nails with it. It worked out fine! I feel good!
