Putting your head above the parapet: from journalism to junior doctor: Dr Rachel Clarke
Dr Rachel Clarke started as a journalist for the BBC, before changing career and training as a doctor. She became prominent in 2016 when she became one of the best-known junior doctors in their dispute with the Department of Health, and camped outside their headquarters in an effort to talk with Secretary of State Jeremy Hunt. She is now a Speciality Doctor in Palliative Care and a successful writer. In the second part of our second plenary at our National Conference, Rachel talks about her experience in "putting her head above the parapet".
