President Park says inter-Korean deal should be enforced for peace, unification
President Park Geun-hye says following up on the recent inter-Korean deal to defuse tensions will end 70 years of tension on the peninsula and place the two Koreas on a path towards a peaceful reunification. At a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, she said reunions for families separated by the Korean War, which the two sides agreed to resume, should be enforced, to allow them to meet or maintain contact on a regular basis. On the domestic front, President Park said it′s time South Koreans start focusing on social reforms, and reviving the economy. She called on workers, management and government who recently resumed labor reform negotiations, to make compromises for the country and the people.
