Remembering Dr. Georg von Tiesenhausen

For 24 years, Dr. Georg von Tiesenhausen was a fixture at Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. As one of the German engineers brought over by Operation Paperclip, he worked at Redstone Arsenal and NASA with Dr. Wernher von Braun, helping to develop the Saturn V rocket that took America to the moon! Upon retiring from NASA, Dr. von T (as he was affectionately referred to by Space Camp Trainees) started teaching at Space Camp. Dr. von T passed away on June 3, 2018 at the age of 104. This tribute video originally played at the 2018 Space Camp Hall of Fame dinner on July 13, 2018.
