RUNNING INTO MY EX - Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe Playthrough Episode 14
Another episode of Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe, another piece of the Starcutter returned to Magolor… again. That’s right folks, I’m playing the Extra Mode and it’s showing me just how extra it can be. Which is to say, extremely, extremely extra. And while it’s true that I have improved my skills a little since starting the game, I’m not exactly improving at the same rate as the game is getting difficult. So yeah, it’s really been a struggle to accept how much I depended on the random food items strewn throughout the game, but it’s a journey I had to go on because there is no food whatsoever in any of these levels. And the worst part about that is that I’m only exaggerating a little bit. For someone whose play style is mainly, “let them hit you and then you hit them back,” this does not suit me at all. I have very few hits I can take, and very few items that can fix those hits once I do take them. These are definitely some very stressful levels and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t dreading the final boss battle against Landia, then Magolor and the Lor, then Magolor and the crown, then the crown through Magolor. That just sounds like a lot. But for now, I’m still frolicking in Raisin Ruins, happy and carefree, blissfully ignoring the pain that is incoming. The levels in this world are hard enough as it is, thank you very much, and we end it on a bit of a challenge. Mr. Dooter EX is truly a challenge to me. I know it’s only gonna get harder, but we’re not talking about that right now. Right now, we’re talking about Mr. Dooter EX and that guy sucks. He’s angrier and more talented than the regular Mr. Dooter and I think he might be a fire bender, which I truly was not expecting at all. In the end, defeating him was a challenge that I was able to rise to. I guess he wasn’t magic enough to survive Kirble. So if you like more John Mulaney clips than usual, terrible magicians, and poor motor skills, then this episode of my Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe playthrough is definitely for you!
