Matthew 13:1-23: Parable of the Sower

Jesus explains why the Gospel yields such different results through the Parable of the Sower. The focus is not on the quality of the soil (the human heart), but on the life-creating power of the Seed, which is the Word of God. The parable shows how this powerful Word is received or rejected in a fallen world, revealing that where faith takes root, it is the Seed of the Gospel, not the goodness of the ground, that does the saving work.  The Rev.
