Major accident slows traffic on Hwy 69 near

UPDATE -- Drivers involved in a two-vehicle crash near Quail Valley Drive in Hardin County were both transported to hospitals, DPS reports. DPS says at about 12:45 Tuesday, a 2006 Chrysler SUV was traveling northbound on US-69. The driver of the Chrysler attempted to pass several northbound vehicle and struck a 2006 Ford pickup truck head-on in the southbound lane of US-69. The driver of the Chrysler, 29 year old Fielding Spencer of Livingston, was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital with several broken bones. The driver of the Ford, 69-year-old William Brown of Kountze, was also transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital with minor injuries. This is an ongoing crash investigation and information will be released as it becomes available. HARDIN COUNTY - A collision in Hardin County has led to injuries and affected traffic on Highway 69.
