Chuck E. Cheese's Rochester, NY (2019)
This is an update video on the CEC in Rochester, New York. Since I last visited everything is pretty much the same. Since the last time I FILMED a yt video here a lot has changed lol. I filmed a video here back in August 2013 and this was a little after Jaret replaced Chuck but everything was pretty much the same. Same show schedule, same show format, it was post-avenger with all the og voice actors and Jaret. The show was pretty different when I filmed here in 2013. The curtains were still enabled, chuck wore the cool chuck outfit, and wore the red cap. They had the interactive console but it was removed prior to my visit then. They got rid of the cap shortly after my visit that Fall, replaced the cool chuck outfit with the avenger outfit the following year and disabled the curtains in 2016/17. So yeah it's pretty different. The store itself actually seems the same since 2013! I mean obviously they got new games over the years and new signs they put up but the overall look is the same. I visited after the store got the Phase 5 remodel so it still has the same remodel today. I came back to this store in November 2018 for a short visit and again in March 2019. Both of these visits were very brief but I will actually be back in this area sometime in April and I'm hoping to have like an actual CEC visit. Come to think of it my first visit here was very short as well so I'm hoping I can try the food or even play some of the games my next visit. This CEC opened during the Summer of 2000 as a Phase 3 CEC with an Alpha. Back then, Chuck wore the Late Night Outfit, they had the blue screen and interactive console, projector screen, showroom walls, SkyTubes, etc. Before this CEC opened, there was a Pizza Time Theatre in the Panorama Plaza and another store in Greece. There are several videos of that store from the 90's and late 80's on YouTube and I will leave a link in the description. The Panorama one closed in September 1996 and the one in Greece closed shortly after. I'm not quite sure why they closed but I would assume they weren't making enough money to update the place or something. Years later they decided to open a newer store 15 mins away from the og in the Jay Scutti Plaza, which is more downtown Rochester. They also opened a new one in Greece in the same plaza the old PTT was in 2003. They currently have 2.0. The place has been doing good ever since and they were even one of the firsts to get the newer Phase 5 remodel the year it came out in 2013. But just bc it's new doesn't mean it's great bc imo the Phase 3 looked way better. The place looked way bigger with the showroom walls and the skytubes and the dim lighting made it look cool. But hey at least they're historic sort of. The first CEC in this area, I think the first store in North to get Phase 5 (I was gonna say the northeast but Birmingham is the South right?) The store seems pretty cool. I wouldn't recommend driving a long distance going here bc it's just a Phase 5 alpha kind of like Dickson City but if you are in the area and you want to go to a big arcade/pizzeria for your fam then I'd recommend you visit. Anyways, I'm gonna end of this long description by saying I will... well may be back in April to film Show 2! See you then. © 2019 Big Chuck Productions
