Lightroom Calibration Sliders: How do they work and should you use them?

Lightroom Calibration Sliders: How do they work and should you use them?

One of the most common "tricks" I hear landscape photographers recommend is increasing the Blue Primary Saturation slider within the Calibration tab in Lightroom or Adobe Camera RAW. Many photographers use this technique but don't understand how it works. These sliders don't directly affect red, green, and blue like the HSL/Color Mixer sliders. Instead, they affect the color of the whole image. Each pixel in your photo is made of red, green, and blue pixels, with the amount of each color ranging between 0 and 255. When you adjust these primary saturation sliders, you change each pixel's total AMOUNT of red, green, or blue. Many photographers believe that increasing the Blue Primary Saturation slider makes their images more appealing to the eye. Personally, this is a trick I occasionally use, but not all the time. If you've done this before, let me know your opinion on the technique! #learnphotography #photoshop #photographertips #photography #photography_tips #lightroomclassic #photoshop #lightroom
