INFO: Michael Jackson performing Billie Jean in Auckland, New Zealand at the Mount Smart Stadium (back then it was called the Ericsson Stadium) on November 9th, 1996 as part of the first of 2 shows in Auckland (next show was on November 11th), as part of the first show from the oceania leg of the HIStory World Tour. THOUGHTS: The guitar here is superior to any other ‘96 show we have in pro, hands down. Michael seems to be quite confident here, considering the way he carries himself, and the facial expressions he’s doing. Though I will say I don’t like his makeup nor his hairstyle here. But regarding the show, a pretty traditional Billie Jean performance probably describes it the best; which is why this Billie Jean performance is greatly loved. WHAT I DID: Color corrected, lighting corrected, sharpened and more. I didn’t bother Interpolate it to 60fps because it takes too long to do for my taste, and there are many other 60fps enhancements of this performance on YouTube already, so just go watch those if 60fps is a necessity for you. I enhanced the audio exactly to fit my taste, by increasing volume of specific instruments to the best of my abilities. Also attempted to turn it into stereo, just for fun. I don’t know if it’s for me tbh, but it might be for you.
