Foolproof Brioche Loaf Recipe Ingredients: • 2 ¾ cups (350g) all-purpose flour • 3 tbsp (40g) sugar • 1 tsp salt • 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast • 3 large eggs (room temp) • ¼ cup (60ml) warm milk (110°F/43°C) • 10 tbsp (140g) softened unsalted butter Egg Wash: 1 egg + 1 tbsp milk Instructions: 1. Mix Dough: Combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add eggs and warm milk. Mix until a shaggy dough forms. Knead for 8–10 minutes. 2. Add Butter: Incorporate butter, a little at a time, and knead until smooth and elastic. 3. First Rise: Cover and let rise in a warm spot for 1 ½ to 2 hours, until doubled. 4. Shape: Punch down, braid or shape into a log, and place in a greased loaf pan. 5. Second Rise: Cover and let rise again until just above the pan’s edge (about 1 hour). 6. Bake: Brush with egg wash, bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes, until golden. Cool before slicing. Perfect for toast or French toast!
