THIS IS A VOICEOVER TRANSCRIPT, THE PRESSURE IS ON TO KEEP THE TRIAL OF THE NOTORIOUS 911 MASTERMIND KHALID SHAIKH MOHAMMED OUT OF NEW YORK CITY (SOTS OF BLOOMBERG AND PATERSON) AND THE WHITE HOUSE SEEMS TO BE LISTENING.....LAST NOVEMBER THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCED MOHAMMED WOULD BE TRIED IN MANHATTAN, JUST BLOCKS AWAY FROM THE WORLD TRADE CENTER....BUT RECENTLY THE ATTITUDE HAS SHIFTED.....NEW YORK OFFICIALS SAY WOULD BE JUST TOO COSTLY AND DISRUPTIVE TO A CITY THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH (SOT) WITH A PRICE TAG OF AROUND 200 MILLION TO SECURE THE TRIAL....WHITE HOUSE OFFICIALS ARE LOOKING INTO THE POSSIBILITY OF MOVING THE TRIAL ELSEWHERE.....PERHAPS STEWARTS AIR FORCE BASE OR WEST POINT BOTH NORTH OF NEW YORK CITY.... (BONNY STANDUP) "new yorkers have mixed feeling, they are happy about saving the cost of security but in the other hand it''s symbolic....there''s no more fitting place to have the trial than here." (MOS) (MOS) (MOS) BUT A DECISION IS FAR FROM DEFINITE.....AND MOHAMMED COULD STILL FACE TRIAL IN THE CITY HE STANDS ACCUSED OF DEVASTATING NEARLY A DECADE AGO....BONNY GHOSH AP NEW YORK.
