Front Yard Tropical Fruit Food Garden Tour Zone 10b [March 2025]
We made some BIG changes to our garden to help us do these three things: Produce More Food | Gain Time Back | More Learning Want To Grow Your Own Food & Not Sure Where To Start? Click Here: https://7dayfoodgarden.com/?utm_sourc... 1. Produce More Food We took out all of our Mexican Sunflower and replaced it with rare varieties of sugarcane to support our online Sugarcane business. We ship Sugarcane propagations right to your front door so you can grow your own sugarcane. If you are interested in growing your own Sugarcane visit: https://shop.growinnhomes.com/ We took out 7 out of our 12 banana clumps to add more sun. We only kept the dwarf varieties: Dwarf Nam Wah, Dwarf Orinocco, and Goldfingers. This added more sunlight and gave us more room to plant 3 more Mango Trees: Pickering, M4, and Sweet Tart. We also planted a Molix Sapodilla, Bruce Canistel, and we made room for a Reineke Black Sapote that is getting planted soon. 2. Gain Time Back Bananas are a lot of work. We learned we did not need to manage 12 clumps of bananas. Taking out the mexican sunflower saves us time from having to prune them. Sugarcane is less maintenance and monetizable. 3. More Learning Tons of learning experiences throughout the years. Each property is different, ours is more wet so we actually needed to bring in sand.... We had some great feedback from an experienced grower a few weeks before March and we took action. The best way to learn is to do it. We can sit and read and watch youtube videos all day but nothing beats actually doing it. *Disclaimer: None of the plants we removed went to the curb for bulk pickup. We fed it all back to the soil or gave them away. #GrowYourOwnFood #HomeGrown #UrbanGardening #OrganicGardening #Permaculture #EdibleGarden #FarmToTable #SustainableLiving #FoodSecurity #GrowFoodNotLawns #FoodGarden #KitchenGarden #HealthyEating #GardenToTable #BackyardGarden #HerbGarden #CommunityGarden #SeedStarting #GreenThumb #GrowWhatYouEat #UrbanFarm #FoodIsMedicine #LocalFood #EatLocal #SelfSufficiency #GardeningTips #HarvestTime #CompanionPlanting #FoodForest #GrowInnHomes #FloridaGardening #Mangos #Bananas #Pineapples #Avocados
