A Star is born, by Adam Simnowitz, Advent day 2

Day 2 of the 2022 Advent Calendar video series. In this one Adam speaks of the Babylonian/Persian Magi who yearned for the arrival of the Messiah narrated by the Apostle Matthew in chapter 2 of his gospel in the New Testament of the Bible. They were mostly pagan astrologers, but these were different. The star was foretold by a pagan prophet in chapter 24 of the book of Numbers in Moses's Torah of the Hebrew Tanakh, or Old Testament (v. 17). The Magi didn't worship the star as other pagans would have, they followed it, which led them to the new-born Messiah anticipated by millions of faithful Jews over millennia. When they found him their ancient hopes were fulfilled, and they worshipped him.
