Pastor Ben Francis - Wednesday Night Bible Study - January 24, 2024

Pastor Ben continues in our study of Amos. In Ch 3-4 Pastor Ben discusses how God would judge Israel. God had previously instructed them in Deuteronomy that if they obeyed HIm they would be blessed, but if they didn't keep His law they would be punished. They consistently chose to rebel; therefore, God judged them. The sins of those who know the law/rules are more heinous than the sins of those who don't know the law. Because the Jews knew God's expectations, their sins were worse because their sin was seen as rebellion against God. Amos also teaches that repentance will lead to forgiveness.
