The Blood of Jesus and Mercy Sixth Sunday Ordinary Time Year C SD 480p
Both today’s first reading and the psalm emphasize trusting not in ourselves, or in any human being, but rather in God, rather in the Lord. In the first reading Jeremiah states, “Cursed is the one who trusts in human beings .... Blessed is the one who trust in the Lord.” Similarly, today’s psalm refrain is “Blessed are they who hope in the Lord.” May we ask for the grace to have greater hope and trust in the Lord, in Jesus. Whenever we become aware of our weaknesses, failings, and sins may we immediately, without any hesitation, turn to Jesus, hide in Jesus, ask Jesus and the Holy Spirit to heal, and sanctify us so that one day, because of Jesus, we will be reunited with our bodies in heaven for all eternity.
